The Kinkade Family Foundation Therapeutic Art Kits
The Kinkade Family Foundation gives back to the local San Francisco Bay Area community by donating their proprietary therapeutic art kits annually. These therapeutic art kits contain a Kinkade Family Foundation “Art for All” activity booklet and all the art supplies needed to complete the activities. A professional trained in art therapy thoughtfully designs all activities in the therapeutic art kits. Thousands of kits are distributed annually to various nonprofits that serve the local farmworker community, unsheltered community, as well as people struggling with substance use disorders.
The Kinkade Family Foundation has embraced the power of art therapy as a way to honor Thomas Kinkade’s memory and open an honest dialogue about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health. The Kinkade Family Foundation believes in offering a pathway to self-discovery and creative expression through the activities in their therapeutic art kits. By sharing Kinkade’s story, The Kinkade Family Foundation aims to create a welcoming environment where others feel comfortable sharing their journeys, fostering growth and healing together.
