WHAT IS THE KINKADE FAMILY FOUNDATION (KFF)?

The family of Thomas Kinkade established The Foundation shortly after his passing in 2012 to do two things:

  1. To care for and exhibit his artwork

  2. To continue his legacy of wanting to make art accessible to all

DOES KFF LOAN KINKADE’S ORIGINAL WORKS TO MUSEUMS FOR EXHIBITIONS?

Yes. Please email art@kinkadefamilyfoundation.org to inquire, and visit our Exhibition page to learn more.

DOES THE FOUNDATION AUTHENTICATE THOMAS KINKADE ARTWORKS?

No. KFF does not authenticate or attribute works of art. If you need further assistance with authenticity, you may contact the International Foundation for Art Research (IFAR). If you are interested in an appraisal, contact the appropriate appraisal department of a professional auction house or an independent appraiser.

DOES KFF ACQUIRE ARTWORKS BY THOMAS KINKADE?

No. However, the Foundation would love to see any Thomas Kinkade art you or your family owns, along with a story.

DOES KFF OFFER GRANTS?

The primary focus of the Foundation is to care for and exhibit the artwork of Thomas Kinkade, as well as pursue art accessibility initiatives in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, grants are available on a periodic basis. Please sign up for our newsletter to find out about new grant opportunities.

WHAT IS THE AFFILIATION BETWEEN KFF AND ART BRAND STUDIOS (FORMERLY THOMAS KINKADE COMPANY)?

While both the Foundation and Art Brand Studios work with the art of Thomas Kinkade, Art Brand Studios focuses on licensing and publishing select artworks by Thomas Kinkade. The Company also produces new images under the brand Thomas Kinkade Studios.

The Kinkade Family Foundation is a nonprofit run by Thomas Kinkade’s family, and acts as the custodian of Kinkade’s lifelong original art collection along with fulfilling the Foundation’s mission of making art accessible to all. DOES THE FOUNDATION MAKE ITS ARCHIVES AVAILABLE TO OUTSIDE SCHOLARS FOR RESEARCH?
