What a year! As we officially celebrate our 1 year anniversary as a foundation, we want to reminisce about all the incredible things we were able to do this year! It is because of our friends, family, and supporters that we were able to accomplish everything -- thank you for your encouragement as we continue to embark on this journey. Below we countdown our favorite highlights from this past year:
Winsor taught an art camp for 300+ children at Generación in Lima Peru – and the rest of us helped!
We curated and organized an art exhibit at Oregon State University titled What Will Last, featuring 44 original Thomas Kinkade and Winsor Kinkade pieces.
We began sponsoring a full time art teacher in Lima, Peru.
We participated in our first academic symposium on the topic of "kitsch" at Utah State University. This was part of an exhibit titled A Matter of Taste: Art Kitsch and Culture, in which we had two original and four lithograph Thomas Kinkade works on display.
Winsor returned to Generación and hosted a day long art and music camp. She was able to connect with the students and plan for our second annual art camp this December.
